In our previous blog post, we shared new sweater, scarf, and wrap patterns. As promised, we have even more designs to share with you from the Fairmount Fibers team. This round-up includes smaller accessory patterns to keep your head, hands and neck cozy! Not only that, we are thrilled to share with you a mini-collection of baby knits!

2016 Fall Accessories

Hats, mitts, and cowls are practical projects! These designs are the work of Christine Marie Chen, Heather Zoppetti, Jocelyn J. Tunney and Kristen TenDyke. Shown above, clockwise from left: Fresa in Maxima, Mijo in Wool Clasica, Espelta in Clara, Perejil in Clara, and Tomillo Hat & Cowl in Gloria.

Knits for baby in Manos Yarns

We have enjoyed seeing so many baby items made from Manos del Uruguay yarns and are so excited to share with you the new baby patterns from Melissa LaBarre! These designs are sure to pop in the wonderful color palettes available and depending on your chosen colorway can read as boyish, girly, or gender-neutral. Shown above, clockwise from left: Trucha in Gloria, Habanero in Clara, and Pimiento in Alegria.

Espinaca baby blanket in Franca

Espinaca is a baby blanket, approximately 28″ square, knit with two colors of Franca. These cheery little knits all call for our superwash yarns, making your precious handknit gift easy to care for as well!

We hope this pattern collection has inspired you to start something new, for you or for someone special! Share your projects with us by leaving us a comment here, on our Facebook page, tag us on Instagram, or post to the Ravelry group.

New Patterns, Part 1

Category: Featured Projects, New Stuff

It’s never too early to start thinking about, planning, or working on your next fall project! The Fairmount Fibers team has a great new collection of patterns in all your favorite Manos del Uruguay Yarns. There are so many new designs, that we are going to present them to you in two blog installments.

Michele Wang Sweaters in Manos Yarns

Michele Wang is the Featured Designer of this collection. Her five sweater designs encompass styles that might be missing from your current sweater wardrobe. Shown above, Morilla in Maxima, Jalapeno in Silk Blend, and Centeno in Gloria. Shown below, Alforfon in Maxima and Sorgo in Wool Clasica.

Manos del Uruguay fall sweaters

That’s not all! Two additional sweaters, Cebada in Silk Blend and Sabio in Clara, designed by Laura Grutzeck and Kristen TenDyke, round out the collection. In harmony with the textured and cabled sweaters, and adding a touch of lace, perhaps a scarf or wrap design is more your style for transitioning to fall?

Scarves and Wraps

We are pleased to have scarves and a wrap design from Jocelyn J. Tunney, Angelia Robinson, and Heather Zoppetti.  Shown above: Amaranto in Silk Blend, Berza crocheted in Gloria, and Quinoa in Marina.

Stay tuned for our next blog post featuring smaller accessory items and knits for babies!
