We are thrilled with the number of free knitting patterns published recently and wanted to share a round-up of them here. Choose from shawls, scarves, and even a sweater – these projects are perfect to start now, so they are ready when you reach for them this fall.
The Fairmount Fibers team has four new free knitting patterns available to download from their website: Incremento Shawl, Charnley Scarf, and Rings of Rings Cowl are each worked in Manos del Uruguay Fino. Create your favorite color palette or look for the Fino mini-skein bundles coming soon to your local yarn shop! The Islamorada Shawl calls for four colors of Alegria. Shown here in four of the semi-solid colorways, this pattern is a great opportunity to spotlight your favorite colorblocked, gradient, or “fade” style by combining the semi-solids with speckled and variegated colors.
Bosco is a cardigan that maximizes the qualities of hand-dyed yarn. The pattern is also a great platform to showcase your handspun yarn. Yarn spun from Manos del Uruguay Superwash Merino Tops and Manos del Uruguay Clara are used in the blue version; the purple version is knit in Manos del Uruguay Clara. Mari Chiba’s design is available in the new Knitty.
The Fargo Scarf is an exclusive free pattern offered to those who sign up for the Manos del Uruguay Yarns newsletter. Two colors of Manos del Uruguay Clara and a slip-stitch pattern combine in this easy and fun design. The newsletter is sent out every other month and is full of pattern inspiration and updates on new yarns and designs from Manos del Uruguay.
