We're so excited to plan our next visit to the warm and welcoming country of Uruguay, featuring visits to Manos del Uruguay cooperatives, sightseeing in the cities and countryside, and seemingly endless fresh and delicious meals!

The 2024 Visit Uruguay trip includes:
Visits to workshops in the countryside, to meet the artisan members/owners of the cooperatives and see yarn being dyed

Manos del Uruguay's central office in Montevideo, where we will meet with members of the Board of Directors and see the design studios and dye lab where new products are developed
•
Manos del Uruguay's flagship shop in Montevideo, where they sell ready-to-wear knit and woven garments and homegoods, as well as leather goods made by local craftspeople
•
A guided tour of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, to see sites both historic and modern
•
A stay in the seaside resort town of Punta del Este, known as "the Riviera of South America"
•
A stay at a countryside hotel, which previously operated as the Uruguay's most historic ranch. There are a wide variety of leisure activities both indoor and outdoor, from the athletic (horseback riding!) to the relaxing (poolside knitting!)

Lunch at a winery featuring a range of wines crafted from Uruguayan grapes

A visit to an art museum that showcases the work of Uruguayan contemporary artists, including master sculptor Pablo Atchugarry
