Simple and Straightforward Projects
Will you be one of the many people travelling this week to visit family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday? The Fairmount Fibers team would like to take this opportunity to share with you a few project ideas in Manos del Uruguay yarns that are good for travel, allow you to participate in conversation, and work up relatively quickly!
First, take a look at the collection of free patterns available at FairmountFibers.com. Several new patterns have recently been added including (top row, left to right) Simple Ribbed Hat, Simple Worsted Moss Stitch Baby Blanket, and Everyday Handwarmers each knit in Manos Gloria, and (bottom row, left to right) Simple Bulky Moss Stitch Baby Hat in Franca, Nina Hat in Franca and Rizo Crochet Baby Blanket in Serena.
The Pradera Wrap, also a free pattern, is a great choice for a travel project! The pattern is straightforward and enjoyable, and the color changes hold your interest. The original Pradera Wrap pattern calls for Clara, shown in Azafran, Miel, Granada, and Hortensia, but of course there are other combinations of colorways. We also assembled a selection of different alternate colorways (clockwise from top right)
