A Gift from ManosYarnsUSA to You: Free Patterns
Over the last few weeks, we have published a number of free patterns for those winter accessories that are great for giving as gifts or to update your own winter wardrobe. These patterns feature the bulkier Manos del Uruguay yarns. Let’s get cozy!
Free Hat and Cowl Patterns
The House Colors Cowl is a modular cowl full of stripes and shapes. You'll need to gather 5 of your favorite colors of Alegria Grande Bocados. For more patterns using the Bocados, click here to read our blog.
Hanmora is a striped hat knit in two colors of our hand-dyed and handspun yarn, Serpentina. This hat is knit using the spiral knitting method to avoid a color jog - a perfect project to try a new technique!
The new Franca colors are designed to face the cold with bright, saturated hues. In the Rise and Shine hat and cowl, we paired Party and Ribbon.
Independent Designs: More Free Patterns
We also didn’t want to miss the opportunity to share with you the free patterns published in recent days and weeks!
Kruska, by Elena Fedotova, is a one-loop crochet cowl. The textured herringbone stitch creates a cozy accessory with two, three or four skeins of Alegria Grande. This pattern is free during the 2019 Gift-A-Long event on Ravelry.
Melissa Nelson's free Serpentina Hat is designed to let the yarn shine. This slightly slouchy one-skein hat is perfect for a beginner knitter.
The Winter issue of Knitty includes two designs using Manos del Uruguay yarns. Paula Niskasaari's new Alegria Grande leg warmers, 7 am, feature a simple ribbed stitch pattern to keep the knitting interesting. Marisha, by Jen Geigley, is a versatile wrap in Wool Clasica. A JUL Design closure helps in styling and adds a fun visual element.
We hope we’ve inspired you to cast on a few more projects in the last weeks of 2019! We love to see your projects – finished and in progress!
