Yarn Information
This luxury British breed blend is a staple yarn in any stash, with each shade inspired by English woodland. This soft yarn is comfortable worn next to the skin making it ideal for sweaters, scarves and hats.
•
Woodnote DK is a blend of 3 wools: Bluefaced Leicester, Masham, and Merino. 100% of our wool comes from non-mulesed sheep.
•
Bluefaced Leister evolved during the last century in the Tyne & Wear Valleys and the hills of east Cumbria. This breed produces a fine, long-staple wool that is known for its softness and lustre. As well as being soft, this fibre also holds the strength needed to create long-lasting garments that can be treasured over time. With a broad muzzle and tightly curled, semi-lustrous wool, it is the dark blue skin on the sheep’s head that gave the breed its name.
•
Masham sheep are produced by crossing a Teeswater or Wensleydale ram with a Northern hill ewe such as the Swaledale or Dalesbred. This hardy sheep produces a soft, demi-lustre fleece.
•
Developed in Spain, Merino sheep are world famous for having one of the highest quality fleece of any breed of sheep. The short and fine fibres used in Merino yarn create a luxurious and soft texture that has all the resilience needed to create a long-lasting piece of knitwear. -

LOVE this pattern! Have already made 2 and thinking about trying it as the start of a top down pullover. An idea for a new pattern!
Haven't started knitting yet but I love the pattern, very clear to follow
I decided to go with Wisp of Warmth over other patterns because I liked the edges and the fact that I could make it as wide or long as I wanted. The instructions are clear even for a novice. The wyif got me at first, but when I took it row by row, all became apparent with the result of a lovely edge. I used a fine wool yarn & it is very warm even though it is narrow and a single time around my neck. Highly recommend it. Great use of stash. Thanks for free pattern.
