Collaboration: Susanna IC x Manos del Uruguay Yarns
In your knitting projects, lace patterns - from simple to complex - have big visual impact. Experienced lace knitters will already be familiar with the work of Susanna IC, and in our newest mini-collection, Susanna creates a cohesive look with a lace motif shared across the pieces. The patterns are accessible and fun to knit using the lace at different scales and repeats. Start these transitional pieces in your favorite Manos del Uruguay yarn now! You have our confidence you will enjoy wearing them throughout the year.
Garments
The garments include a cardigan, short-sleeved tee, and a sleeveless tunic - something for everyone! The Meseta Cardigan is a one-piece top-down sweater with waist shaping. Alegria Grande in Foil is the required yarn. Knit in the versatile Alegria fingering yarn in the Kohl colorway, the Arequita Tunic is a longer top with a flattering boatneck and side vents. Serena in the Glacier colorway has a wonderful drape and great stitch definition making it a perfect choice for the Cascadas Tee with its round yoke.
Accessories
Fans of Susanna’s will welcome these assorted accessories. The Ceibo Cowl is a generously sized infinity cowl in the Jaipur colorway of Milo. The Ombu Stole in Fino Tincture is worked from end to end, without seams or center graft. Notice the Lluvia Shawl uses the same lace motif as for the other pieces, but Susanna worked it in a more abstract way, reminiscent, she says, of warm summer rain. The shawl is knit in the Atlantis colorway of Marina.
