Leaves and Flowers in Knit and Crochet Patterns
The previous Fairmount Fibers blog post provided pattern and project inspiration for a few of the floral colorways of Manos del Uruguay yarns. Today we would like to spotlight the patterns which incorporate floral motifs! Leaves and flowers are common design elements throughout the year that can be simple or intricate, but are always beautiful.
A number of designs have been published in print and online, using Manos del Uruguay yarns and we are happy for the chance to share them with you again! The Dahlia Cardigan by Heather Zoppetti, the Ginkgo Counterpane Shawl by Paula Levy, and Ceylon by Kristen TenDyke are all knit in Serena. Escarcha Flor by Varian Brandon, is knit in Wool Clasica.
Here we have projects by Ravelry members (clockwise from top left): Dara212's Chrysanthemum Shawl crocheted in an assortment of Silk Blend, Jane Vanselous' Lotus Shawlette crocheted in Serena, weaselmomma's Echo Flower shawl knit in Fino, and Libby Summers' Rose knit in Serena.
How have you incorporated botanical designs into your projects? Share your photos with us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Ravelry!
