Patterns and Projects in Fino Mini-Skeins
Small bundles of yarn, like our Fino Mini-Skein sets, can create projects with a big impact. Each set is a chance to play with a handful of gorgeous Fino colors all at once - perfect for your favorite gradient shawl pattern, or choose one of our free pattern downloads here.
Today’s post shares two new patterns and several customer projects to inspire your next cast-on!
Crochet Patterns with Fino Mini-Skeins
Amanda Kaffka’s Staycation Cowl is an easy beginner crochet project, or a rhythmical relaxing project for a pro. It’s worked in the round continuously, switching colors as you run out. The tassels on the edge are so fun and on trend! The photographed sample uses Kit 3, Clarissa: #429 Storm Glass, #415 Silver Teaset, #414 Ivory Letter-Opener, #446 Porcelain, and #413 Rosewater.
The Marcula Shawl was designed for Rooster Yarns by Tina Jane. A striking zig zag pattern is featured in the crescent shaped style. Crocheted using one full skein of Fino in #425 Fascinator and one Fino Mini-skein set in Dorothea.
Customer Projects using Fino Mini-Skeins
Diane’s Painting Bricks Shawl is absolutely stunning in #416 Amethyst Earring and a Dorothea bundle (#431 Chemise, #430 Filigree, #444 Topsy-Turvy, #407 Velvet Pincushion, and #423 Tincture.
Nblwilcox’s So Faded Pint Sized sweater is adorable in a Henrietta set! (Henrietta is #421 Havisham, #401 Corsage, #435 Opal, #404 Watered Silk, and #414 Ivory Letter-opener.)
Trolley Tracks is one of our free patterns for the Fino Mini-Skeins. Shown above is Sarah’s version, knit in #427 Mourning and the Flora set (#423 Tincture, #407 Velvet Pincushion, #408 Crystal Goblet, #404 Watered Silk, and #433 Folly).
Four new pale colors of Fino were developed for Fall 2020 to create beautiful gradients or pair them with Fino Mini-Skein kits for new color effects! Clockwise from top left, these new colorways are: 448 Whalebone, 451 Seance, 449 Tea Leaves, and 450 Fog.
The five 20g mini-skeins in each kit add up to one 100g skein of Fino. There are 16 different sets available and we do love to see how you mix and match them in your projects. Don’t forget to share your photos and projects with us on your favorite social platform: Instagram, Facebook, or Ravelry.
