If you are new to knitting with short rows, this book takes you through several different styles of the technique in a variety of projects. The Riyito sweater incorporates two short row methods and calls for three to five skeins of Fino, a fingering weight blend of 70% merino, 30% silk, depending on size. Short Row Knits Riyito Sweater The shoulder slope is created using Japanese short rows, and the curved hem is created with German short rows. The shoulders are worked individually at first (fronts and backs), then joined to continue the body portion down to the hem.
