Spotlight on Silk Blend Kits from Manos del Uruguay

Pulling colors together for a multi-skein project can be daunting. Did you know that Manos del Uruguay has yarn kits which include a beautiful braid of 7, 9, or 10 skeins of Silk Blend? With the color selection already made, you’ll be ready to cast on for the paired pattern or one of your own inspiration!

Trigo Kit

The Trigo Kit includes 7 skeins of Silk Blend in 5 subtle or bold colorways, and a hard copy of the Trigo, a harlequin-patterned scarf. New for Spring 2019 is the Cincuenta set which includes Magenta, Tahiti, Saffron, Chartreuse, with Cincuenta as the main color. On Ravelry, we spotted Trigo scarves knit by user Bleuberrie in the Arctic Pine set. Tanda, one of the LYS Day 2019 exclusives, is also knit in the Arctic Pine set.

Amaranto Kit

Nine different colors of Silk Blend, one skein of each, come together in the Amaranto Kit for the easy-to-knit Amaranto scarf. Above, Amaranto is photographed in the new Venus color palette. The new sets for Spring are Mermaid’s Tail, Venus, Red Rock Canyon, and Garden Party. One of the LYS Day exclusives from last year, the Mooney Scarf, is now available as a free download and is knit in the Tropical Fish set.

Mentolat Kit

The vibrant colors and luxurious feel of Silk Blend come together in the Mentolat wrap, which has instructions for two sizes. Each Mentolat kit contains enough yarn for either one: ten skeins of Silk Blend, in six different colors. Whimsy, Pueblo, Tidepool, and Icecap are the new sets available this season. Maremoto, another LYS Day 2019 exclusive is knit in Tidepool. The Silk Blend Pradera, from our Fall Knit-in-Now collection, is a free pattern knit in Mentolat Kit 5 Daydream.
