The Fall 2012 Patterns
As knitters look ahead with anticipation to the cooler days of Fall, they also look to create something new. Our Fall Pattern Collection is ready for purchasing now, so you can get started selecting colors, swatching and beginning these wonderful new projects!
First, a mini collection of five items designed by Julie Hoover:
Fumior is a set of stylishly modern (and wonderfully warm) cabled sleeves that are worked flat with thumbhole and forearm shaping and exposed outer side seams. They are knitted from the top down, measuring from the middle of the fingers to just below the elbow. Knit in Maxima, shown in #M2020 Spirulina. Palette is a chunky double-wide cowl knit in a combination of garter and rib stitches that creates a fully reversible thick, springy, and textural fabric. Wear it doubled or hanging straight down for a quick (and warm) outfit accessory. Knit in Clasica, shown in #52 Cameo. Beaubourg is an oversized dolman pullover worked in reverse stockinette stitch (purl stitches are on the right side) with exposed seams at the sides, sleeve bottoms, and shoulders. Stitches are picked up around the neckline for the cowl collar, which is knit in a loose rib stitch. Also knit in Maxima, shown in #M2552 Foil.
Marly, a boxy short-sleeve pullover, is worked in two pieces (back and front) from the bottom up, with stitches cast on for the sleeves. Knit in Serena, shown in #S2590 Natural. Flore is knit from the bottom up; this relaxed-fit seamless raglan pullover is worked in Stockinette Stitch, then turned so the purl side is the right side of the finished sweater. Shown in Silk Blend #3014 Natural (MC) and #3031 Nickel (CC).

The Oruga Scarf, by Lisa R. Myers, is worked up in soothing stockinette with a touch of textural interest with the gathering of stitches to create a slight ruffle. Indulge in two skeins of Manos Lace and add a great pop of color with this accessory. Shown in #L2040 Puck.
Fall also brings a new color palette. At the end of August, we will pick one lucky Facebook fan to win four skeins of Manos del Uruguay Maxima - one of each of the season's featured colors!
