In our previous blog post we shared projects made for use during the wedding ceremony. Today, we’d like to take a moment to spotlight several beautiful blankets made as wedding gifts using Manos del Uruguay yarns. The Four Seasons Throws, by Judith Shangold, is knit in Wool Clasica. Knit in twelve squares, each having a different pattern, this is a highly portable project with a myriad of color combinations. Shown above (left to right) are gifts knit by MollyWafflesKnits, NatalieB, and Mstgarden. Jocelyn Tunney’s Salida del Sol design, also in Wool Clasica, is a popular choice as well. It is knit on the bias, so there is no seaming! Shown in the top row are blankets knit by mbarr86 (left) and gallops (right). We also spotted daviesbl’s Super Easy Lap Blanket in Maxima (bottom left) and BarbaraJ’s Canyon Throw (bottom right), another Judith Shangold design, in Wool Clasica. What blanket or throw pattern knit in Manos yarns would you like to give or receive? You can post to any of our social media channels to let us know! We have a Facebook page, Ravelry group, Twitter and Instagram feeds.
