Sarah Solomon Sweater Designs in Manos del Uruguay Yarns
Sarah Solomon’s four sweaters included in our Fall 2018 collection are classic, wearable designs with textured stitches that beautifully spotlight each yarn used. The Bouvier pullover (left) and Chadwick cardigan (center top) are each knit in Maxima, while Wildey (center bottom) and Lambert pullovers (right) are knit in Silk Blend.
New Sweater Patterns
The Dunbar Pullover (left) is a beautiful use of Alegria Grande. Margaret Holzmann’s design is part of Creative Knitting Winter 2018. Allison Jane’s Celadon Raglan (right) combines two different fashion details, a turtleneck and cold shoulders, for a unique sweater. As noted in the Winter 2018 knitscene, you’ll need 4-6 skeins of Clara depending on size.
Ravelry Sweater Projects
Super-soft merino fiber and a light single-ply construction make Maxima a cuddly yarn. These sweaters, spotted on Ravelry, are all knit in Maxima. From left to right: BehrHands’ Little Cabin, gtwife’s Carbeth, and SusannahO’s The Dog Walker.
Pops’ Tecumseh is knit in Silk Blend; her notes indicate she knit it longer to be a dress.
We love seeing happy faces in finished sweaters made for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. Above left, Cyncorb’s Granito in Milo knit for herself and above right, geraldineanntoo’s King of the Hipsters (Heartstring pattern) in Maxima for her son.
Stay cozy, friends!
