Project Inspiration
Earlier this month, Manos del Uruguay / Fairmount Fibers attended The National Needlearts Association trade show in San Diego, California. We enjoy the chance to talk to yarn shop owners and designers as well as display the newest designs in our pattern collection. A portion of the display is shown at left; these are a selection of the designs by Heather Zoppeti, our featured designer. We will be sure to announce when the patterns are ready to purchase, so stay tuned!
Now is a great time to start thinking about projects that will keep you cozy as the weather fluctuates. The lighter color palettes can seem like a breath of fresh air, even if the colder temperatures keep you inside and under a pile of wool.
Tian is the pattern featured on the cover of the newest issue of Let's Knit! Charlotte Walford designed these mitts in Fino with an all over fair isle pattern inspired by blue and white china. The Mallory Hills Shawlette, also knit in Fino, is in the Spring 2014 issue of Knitscene. This shawl, part of her collection as this issue's featured designer, is knit from end to end, as the lace, chosen by Corrina Ferguson, gently moves from side to side.
A few projects posted on Ravelry caught our eye recently. From left to right, Woolnutzi's Wedding Shawl in Lace, theleagalbeagle's Mint Julep in Maxima, and jennabie's Morning Dew Scarf crocheted in Maxima.
