Project Inspiration for Kids
Small projects can allow you to try out new techniques, explore color combinations outside your usual choices, and are finished relatively quickly. Projects for children, as gifts or by special request, are a great choice to kick off the return of knitting season! Here are a few patterns and projects to inspire you.
Several designers have called for Manos del Uruguay yarns in their designs for kids. The Bowburn hat in Silk Blend and Mallard Cowl in Wool Clasica are two fun accessories by Katya Frankel. Wooly Wormhead complements the variegated colorway of Silk Blend with an assortment of buttons on the Damsel hat. The Rosaline short-sleeve sweater, by Clare Slade, in Silk Blend is a great layering piece for cool fall mornings waiting for the bus or running around the playground!
Seeing the projects our fans have made with Manos del Uruguay yarns brings us such joy! Here are just a few we spotted on Ravelry. Clockwise from top left: annanozaki's Hot Chocolate in Maxima, Monastrickt's 6th Birthday Hat in Silk Blend, thislittlelemon's Abate sweater in Maxima, VerilyV's Hedgie in Silk Blend, and TanteLinnea's Summer Suit for Lauritz in Serena. Look at those happy faces!
Stay tuned for our next blog post in which we will focus on blankets and toys to make for your favorite little ones!
