Project Inspiration for Manos del Uruguay Cabrito

In November we introduced our new lace weight mohair, Cabrito; you can read about it here on the blog. Knitters on Ravelry are sharing their projects using Cabrito and we love seeing the color combinations that are chosen. We’re sharing those projects here to inspire you!

Hats

Ambrose hats are an easy way to give Cabrito a try! The pattern is quick to work up and is available as a free download. Bleuberrie used Ultramarine Cabrito and Ming Alegria Grande, (left) while Dimsumknitter used Wildflowers Cabrito and Overo Alegria Grande (right).

Stefaniegrrr’s Ambrose in Steampunk Cabrito and Acero Alegria Grande was originally knit to be a gift, but she chose to keep it for herself! Read more of Stef’s review here. On the right, DiHara chose Cincuenta Cabrito and Waistcoat Fino to knit her beaded Slightly Cabled Hat.

Over at PinkBrutusKnits you can read about her experience using Butternut Cabrito and Leo Alegria to knit her Palombella Bobble Toque (an unpublished design).

Cozy Cowls and Sweater

Pulled Glass, also available as a free download, shown here on the left in Fino Amethyst Earring and Cabrito Marble, knit by Suzanne, and PattiReyes knit the one on the right in Locura Fluo Cabrito and Peacock Plume Fino.

FluffyK chose to knit a Bandana Cowl using Huarache Cabrito and Petal Gloria. She also posted a review that you can read here. Terumiw used Cabrito in the Marble colorway together with Croft Shetland Tweed from West Yorkshire Spinners in her Column Pullover.

Put your work, finished or in-progress, in the spotlight and share it with us on Facebook, in our Ravelry group, and tag us on Instagram. We love to see the color combinations and patterns you pair for a project!
